PTRS

Противотанковое самозарядное ружьё обр. 1941 г. системы Симонова, ПТРС

PTRS-41 or simply PTRS, is a 14.5×114mm Soviet semi-automatic anti tank rifle designed by Sergey Simonov, which was prominently used during World War II. Intended to replace older bolt-action PTRD-41s in service. It is fed from 5 round non detachable magazine. Having length of 2.1 metres and weighing about 20 kilograms, it night need at least two comrades to transport and operate it. This badass rifle is surprisingly still in use by revolutionary Donetsk paramilitary groups.

"I am also a Tiger hunter too!" laughed the Soviet veteran while pointing the captured German tank turret with his PTRS.

LV Armor

Japanese: レベルアーマー

A mechanized armor suit developed and utilized by the Rebel Army. First featured in Metal Slug 3. The mecha will attack the player by firing its gun and claws on short range. One LV Armor is usable by the player. Unlike other Slugs, it starts with limited 200 rounds of Heavy Machine Gun. Thus it will need another weapon pickup. The LV Armor is relatively weak and still have design flaws, that a single grenade can destroy it, killing the operator.

Despite its name, Louis Vuitton has nothing to do with the LV Armor design.

FN FALO

A variant of FN FAL battle rifle. It has tapered longer, heavier barrel, bipod attachment. These features allow extended automatic fire to be more sustainable. The FN FALO served as a squad automatic weapon or LMG, quite similar to Bren or RPK. The term LO in FALO is a French combinaton acronym from Lourd, meaning "heavy".

The Israeli variant of FN FALO was locally produced by IMI, designated as IMI Makleon.

Enemy Chaser

Probably one of the best weapon pickup in Metal Slug series. The Enemy Chaser consists of small homing missiles which can engage all type of targets. The warheads are similar to the Rocket Launcher but smaller, faster and dealing less explosion. Weakness is unable to cause high damage on armoured vehicles. It is also very useful to find hidden objects and POWs alike.

The weapon comes in yellow boxes marked with black uppercase C, usually containing 40 cartridges (except Metal Slug 6 and 7/XX).

Me and my older bro always compete to pick the Enemy Chaser on multiplayers.

Ptolemaic Army

An enemy faction in Metal Slug 5. Their motives are somewhat unclear, probably their goal is world domination through dark occult terror. Unlike the typical Green Army Men aka Rebels you encounter in almost Metal Slug series, the Ptolemaic Army has more distinctive ranking system, deadlier tactics, and improved military equipment.

Types of Ptolemaic Army infantry:

- Guerrilla, wearing olive-brownbattledress and red bandana scarves. Specialized on outdoor combats.

- Special forces. Expert on room clearings, and sneak attacks. Seen wearing black gears and gas masks.

- Special forces diver. Marine units armed with spear guns.

- Officer. Men dressesd in blue-gray uniforms. They rarely engage combats. Officers often summon and command

mechanized infantry units. After that officers will flee away. Somewhat they take more shots to kill than others.

- Cultists. Masked guys in various hoods who practice the Ptolemaic cult and commanding battles. Only armed with low-velocity spore pistols.

Have you noticed why Metal Slug 5 game over screen lacks of helmet on it? Perhaps the character and Ptolemaic Army soldiers alike do not wear such helmet?
