with Chinese Characteristics

An easy way to say that you are representing an ideology or system without actually meaning to do so. Used disingenuously by the Communist Party of China to denote their system of fascism and authoritarian regime. e.g. Socialism with Chinese Characteristics.

I just finished learning about Xi Jinping Thought! How insightful, certainly, Socialism with Chinese Characteristics is the best system ever created! We can fact-check people and ensure that they are grounded in reality, instead of making baseless claims.

rebunk

To rebunk is to successfully rebuke a "debunking," often retractions made under duress or thrown up to save face by PR departments or information officers, as well as news agencies.

"Here we are at the site of a mostly peaceful protest. It is not violent." -- Newscaster
"Yeah they ended up having ten arrests and assaulted about a dozen people as well as tried to cement the police station shut. They rebunked the riot." -- Random guy
