Prabhas

Prabhas is found to be referred in various Epics of Hindu mythology with different meanings depending on the context. Prabhas founds mention in Mahabharata (महाभारत) with meanings like splendour and beauty. Mention of this name is also found in Markandey-Puran (मार्कण्डेय-पुराण) in which Prabhas is the name of a deity under the 8th Manu. Prabhas also finds reference in the writings of Sir Monier-Williams where Prabhas denotes brilliance or lustrous.
