Super Straight

An invalid, made up sexuality created by transphobic people to justify hate.

The term and flag was created on 4chan to deliberately attempt spread Nazi imagery (SS) as a way of alt-right recruitment as well as drive a wedge between trans people and the rest of the community. The term was later spread on by kyleroyce on TikTok, and was quickly adopted by TERF’s and other transphobes to spread dehumanising statements and exclusionary/transphobic ideologies.

The name “super straight” also makes it seem as though heterosexual attraction to transgender individuals makes one “somewhat gay” as if being a “true straight” cannot include transgender people. It is also unneeded, as having a preference for cisgender people does not require a label.

Person 1: “I’m super straight, guys!”
Person 2: “What does that mean?”
Person 1: “I’m heterosexual, but I’m only attracted to people who identify with their assigned gender at birth.”
Person 2: “So, let me see if I understand: you wouldn’t date a trans person for the sole reason of being trans, and if you didn’t know they were trans and were formerly attracted to them and you later found out, you’d stop being attracted to them?”
Person 1: “Yes?...”
Person 2: “Well, as a matter of fact that’s just blatant transphobia. Do you know you can have a cisgender preference right? As well as genital, if that’s your reasoning... Please inform yourself on these matters before making assumptions or forming opinions. Being hateful for the sake of being hateful isn’t appreciated.”
