An invalid, made up sexuality created by transphobic people to justify hate.
The term and flag was created on 4chan to deliberately attempt spread Nazi imagery (SS) as a way of alt-right recruitment as well as drive a wedge between trans people and the rest of the community. The term was later spread on by kyleroyce on TikTok, and was quickly adopted by TERFâs and other transphobes to spread dehumanising statements and exclusionary/transphobic ideologies.
The name âsuper straightâ also makes it seem as though heterosexual attraction to transgender individuals makes one âsomewhat gayâ as if being a âtrue straightâ cannot include transgender people. It is also unneeded, as having a preference for cisgender people does not require a label.
Person 1: âIâm super straight, guys!â
Person 2: âWhat does that mean?â
Person 1: âIâm heterosexual, but Iâm only attracted to people who identify with their assigned gender at birth.â
Person 2: âSo, let me see if I understand: you wouldnât date a trans person for the sole reason of being trans, and if you didnât know they were trans and were formerly attracted to them and you later found out, youâd stop being attracted to them?â
Person 1: âYes?...â
Person 2: âWell, as a matter of fact thatâs just blatant transphobia. Do you know you can have a cisgender preference right? As well as genital, if thatâs your reasoning... Please inform yourself on these matters before making assumptions or forming opinions. Being hateful for the sake of being hateful isnât appreciated.â
