Canterlot

In the fourth and fifth incarnation of Hasbro's My Little Pony franchise, the city of Canterlot is the capital of Equestria.

Canterlot is a portmanteau of canter - a type of movement in horses between a trot and a gallop - and Camelot, the court and castle associated with the legend if King Arthur.

Fancypants: (to Rarity) You know these ponies?

Rarity: Yes. Yes, I do know them. They may not be as sophisticated as some of you Canterlot ponies, but they are my best friends. And they are, without a doubt, the most important ponies I know.
