A fist is used in many different ways, like beating meat or defending yourself against an attacker. It is usually disliked if used on a child or elderly and female persons. A fist is the motion of closing your hand.
I had to use my fists in a fight yesterday at school. I got in so much trouble that I clenched my fists in anger!
