Wacoalanche

An excessive display of lingerie clad women on social media platforms. An increasing number of women have taken to post selfies clad in their underwear in an attempt to boost their profile likes.

News feeds on platforms such as Facebook have subsequently been inundated with such posts causing users to be overwhelmed by a Wacoalanche

Wacoalance is a conjunction of the root words avalanche and the Japanese lingerie manufacturer Wacoal.

"STOMP has not only gotten away with the 4 deadly digital sins (i.e. trolling, hate speech, racism and xenophobia); it has also unleashed a Wacoalanche of lingerie-clad women that threaten to overwhelm impressionable young males, causing them to become lesbians”.

banwagon

Derived from the idiom bandwagon, the word describes a deplorable behavior on the internet where online news platforms ban users from posting comments on their Facebook page.

While these platforms purportedly support freedom of speech, they have also maintained their right to ban users from their technology platforms.

This claim is disingenuous as the technology platform underpins the delivery of online content and is therefore inseparable from the exercise of free speech, particularly in the social media space.

It now appears that more people are getting onto the banwagon.

Order of the Foil

The Order of the Foil is a community of sea sports enthusiasts at East Coast Park, Singapore.

The coat of arms for the Order was inspired by the Roman eagle or Aquila (in this case a White Bellied Sea Eagle that nearly brained a paddleboarder).

The sea eagle soars above the waves riding on the front wing of a foil etched with the Latin phrase "Amici Ad Omnia", meaning friends ready for any adventure.

The crown represents the headgear to prevent the aforesaid braining by sea eagles, but also an acknowledgement that we are all champions in our own way...

"Absolute genius this Order of the Foil! Love the whole concept, in particular the safety overlay to the design of the coat of arms! I couldn't imagine anything worse than receiving a braining mid session from a sea eagle"

kanban me <name of organization>

An appeal launched just-in-time to a Facebook administrator to un-ban an account from posting. Used in political discourse, the appeal is construed as a pre-emptive strike against sites that seek to prevent bloggers from posting a response against an assertation.

The blogger who cites the expression 'kanban me' is granted free passage by the site administrator to post up to 10 rebuttals and agrees to abide by a code of conduct in posting his/her response. The blogger is required to post using his/her own identity and endeavors not to defame or slander anyone in his rebuttal.

The root word kanban is a lean or just-in-time manufacturing process invented by Taiichi Ohno.

Commonly used as a hashtag expression:

#FreeMyInternet - kanban me <name of organization>!

The above hashtag FreeMyInternet denotes a movement formed to promote freedom of speech on the Internet.
