bump 'n run

Refers to a technique used in NASCAR to pass a car usually on a short track such as Bristol. The car attempting the pass slightly bumps the car in front of them just enough to make the slide up the race track, giving the passing car room underneath to pass.

In 2003 Jeff Gordon ending his winless streak by using a bump 'n run at the end of the race to pass Rusty Wallace in the Sharpie 500 at Bristol.
