An obviously fake story, usually posted on reddit, wherein a trans person (usually trans woman) describes an event in which they have triumphed over transphobia, perfectly passed for years without getting clocked, had someone say they had no idea they were trans etc.

"Oh yeah that post about how her best friend had no idea she was trans for years is a complete tranfic. So obviously fake, bestie"

banksy

Being banksy or doing something banksy means comitting an "outrageous" act that you think is highly rebellious and counterculture but is in fact banal, sanitized and/or monetized. Quite often if you see the word "edgy" used unironically, it will be referring to a banksy act.
Comes from the street artist Banksy, whose entire portfolio can be conveniently described with this adjective.

Ugh no that's totally banksy.

Gaia

Gaia Online used to be a fun online hangout with a nifty avatar system, but it's turning into a clone of Neopets slowly. The site releases a lot more merchandise and cash shop items than avatar clothing and site features now. There are 3 donation items ("monthly collectibles") each month instead of- 2 forcing people to buy one more envelope. The layout has been revamped to a weird, unprofessional looking one with a lot of blank space (and less pink, presumably to appeal to more people). There's far too much unfair bannings and far too little moderators (trolls can get away with anything and cheaters can get people banned as they please by sending them botted gold).
