Waxing the Cat

An excuse to give to someone when you really, really don't want to talk to them. It's sort of like a stunner because no one expects it. Once you stun them, it's your time to get away.

"Waxing the Cat" is a family-friendly way to get the hell away from someone you don't like.

Joanie: Blah, blah, something stupid, blah, blah...
Fred: I MUST BE OFF! I'M GOING TO BE WAXING THE CAT!
Joanie: *Staring at Fred in shock*
Fred: *Makes an epic get away* HA, it works everytime!
