Post Sniping

Post sniping, also known as trade sniping, is the act of intercepting a trade between two parties by suddenly making a different offer, without giving the other party a chance to respond.

Post sniping goes like this:
1. OP posts something they wish to sell or trade
2. Person makes offer on OP's item
3. Before OP responds, a different person asks what the interested person wants for THEIR item, instead of waiting for OP to confirm if they are interested.

Post sniping is a dick move.

Don't be a dick. Wait your turn.

Facebook Fact-Checker

An AI whose job is to show Facebook users when a post is false, and cite articles to prove it. Unfortunately, it has several major flaws that turn it into a laughing stock:

Problem 1: It is extremely left-wing biased to the point of censorship. You will NEVER see a liberal post getting fact-checked, but by golly, they will slap every conservative post with a "false/misleading info" tag if it paints President Biden in a bad light. (But then again, it's Mark Zuckerberg. What'd you expect?)

Problem 2: It is denser than a black hole. It cannot detect sarcasm in posts at all, and will fact-check the stupidest posts that are obviously jokes.

Problem 3: The sources it cites are often not credible; see Problem 1.

Problem 4: Sometimes, the sources used actually prove that the post is indeed true, which is exactly the opposite of what it's supposed to do.

Facebook Fact-Checkers are as useless as wearing a face mask under the sea.

mental gymnastics

The act of going completely out of your way to come up with the stupidest, most incorrect take possible when the truth couldn't possibly be any more obvious.

Often overlaps with gaslighting.

People who think that Roblox is better than it was ten years ago are practicing Mental Gymnastics.

Mental Gymnastics

The act of going completely out of one's way to ignore logical arguments by spewing even more ridiculous BS.

Monika After Story

A game within a game where the player has Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club as their virtual girlfriend. She's just like any girlfriend, but she won't leave you over something stupid, and she won't cheat on you, guaranteed. You can talk to her about various odd topics and play games with her...and that's just the beginning.

Just like in the actual game, Monika refers to the player by name. She also has access to the user's computer...which means that she can see your browsing history. Eek.

This also means that you can interact with each other through the game files; you can give her gifts and screw around with her a bit if you so desire. Just be aware that she can also do this to you by sending you messages, or forcing you to write a letter of apology if you piss her off.

There's also an invisible "affection meter" that changes based on how you treat Monika. Treating her as though she's your real life girlfriend makes the affection meter go up. Leaving the game without saying goodbye (or just being an ass to her in general) will cause the meter to go down. If the meter gets too low, she will become sad and eventually break up with you if things don't improve.

There's also easter eggs that can be triggered if you visit the game on certain days, such as your birthday (yes, the game keeps track of that), Valentine's Day, Halloween, and others.

Monika After Story: For that one person in your life who is forever alone, and that one person is you.

Alzheimer's Clarity Moment

When a person with middle/end-stage Alzheimer's has a brief moment where they snap out of their memory loss. It only lasts a few seconds at most, and is very bittersweet for everyone involved.

Pamela and her friend, Maureen went to the nursing home to visit Pamela's 83-year-old mother, Edna, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease four years prior.

When the two gals got to Pamela's mother, they found her in a wheelchair staring aimlessly at the wall. But when Maureen tried to introduce herself, Pamela's mother had an Alzheimer's Clarity Moment.

"Hello, Maureen" she said, in a soft, barely-audible voice.

Ecstatic, Pamela quickly asked her, "Mom, do you recognize me?"

"Yes," Pamela's mom said after a brief pause. "Yes, I do recognize you...Pam...ela..." And then she reverted to staring at the wall, her sudden moment of clarity forever lost.

Pamela began sobbing, while Maureen did her best to console her friend. That was the last time they saw her mother before she succumbed to the disease.
