A person from the lower peninsula of Michigan. The Mackinac Bridge separates the upper peninsula from the lower peninsula, hence "trolls" live under the bridge.

Person #1 from upper peninsula......"Hey man, aren't we partying with your cousin from Detroit who is coming into town tonight?"

Person #2 from upper peninsula......"No, that fuckin troll won't be here until tomorrow."
