paytard

A paytard is someone who spends money indiscriminately, particularly on the Internet or on technology products.

Mike is such a paytard, he just spent another $400 on a new iPod 40GB even though he already had an iPod 20GB. Is it really that hard to clean up your music library?

vaginal wrench

The vagina used as a tool to force actions one would not normally volunteer for.

My boyfriend refused to take out the trash so I used the vaginal wrench: No sex for three days.

Tanya uses the vaginal wrench at her job to get promoted. She's sucked every cock on the sales team.

wrap

The time in between terminating one call and recieving another. It used to be short for "wrap up."

John's wrap was way too high this week, so he's working with the mentors to bring it down.

floor

The place where call center agents work. Usually the largest part of the call center, composed of sprawling rows and columns of cubicles that stretch so far that you can see the curve or the horizon before the back wall.

Mike went out onto the floor after a week of training.

stream

A company in Beaverton, Oregon that was acquired by Solectron, famous for making up reasons for canning people. A great deal of people got their foot in the door of the tech industry by starting as a call center slob at Stream International.

"Dude I got canned from Stream today." "I guess you should try Pinkerton then."

cash back

An "incentive" offered by companies where they charge you more money and then give it to you at the time of purchase. Also known as "customer cash," cash back is frequently a ploy used by car dealerships and more recently cable TV providers. It plays on greedy consumers' tendency toward impulse buying. To the dealer it sounds like "here's some of the money you're going to pay us" but to the average consumer it sounds like "I can go buy a new car AND a flatscreen TV!"

Come in today and buy a new car and get $2,00 cash back!
