Hoopjack (huup-jak) noun. plural hoopjacks-1. a melding of musical styles, typically old style country with heavier rock and roll and blues style elements. Occasionally incorrectly called alt-country, which is another of it's elements 2. one who lives a rural lifestyle, similar to hillbillies or, alternatively, hickabillies.3. Adjective. to react with animation or jubilance.4.Also the action thereof Γ’Β€Βœhe was hoopjacking and foot-stomping to the music.

The music that was playing had a real hoopjack flair, it really got my feet tapping.
