Snapback

To aggressively, sometimes with strong affirmation, respond to another party/person during an argument, typically in defense of ones’ self or another person/party.

In some cultures, this action may be accompanied with a physical snapping the the finger motion and high pitched voice may be observed along with the finger snap. Especially in adolescent female demographic.

She snapped back at the other girl calling her friend a bitch.
