Any song played with a strong essence of {funk} flavor- (basically a hearty mixture of {Blues}, {Jazz}, {R&B}, and {Soul})- to give it that funky sound. It must have a very strong essence to make the song funkdified- not just a little taste.
I have heard that song a thousand times- but with that funky groove they played- it was truly {FUNKDIFIED}.
FUNKY BUTT is the title of a song performed by New Orleans musician Buddy Bolden in the early 1900's. Bolden has been referred to as the first man of jazz by many writers and jazz musicians. The song was about the odor emanating from a crowd of people packed together in an auditorium dancing in close quarters. The song was later known as "Buddy Bolden's Blues". Authorship was claimed by Willy Cornish- trombone player for the band. References to the song can be found on WIKIPEDIA under "Buddy Bolden"
Lyrics from the song " I thought I heard Buddy Bolden say - Funky Butt, stinky butt, take it away"
