Yaoi

An anime and manga slang that is used to refer to ''Gay'' or ''boy-to-boy'' relationship. Whilst this is something you wouldn't expect to be so popular... It is. The opposite of Yaoi is Yuri which means ''Lesbian'' or ''girl-to-girl''. Yaoi consists 95% of the time out of graphic fanfics.

Friend: What kept you up so late?
14 Year old girl: Ah... Nothing... Was just reading some Yaoi mangas.
