Far Away Syndrome (FAS)

The phenomena of believing someone is attractive from afar, only to realize that person is atrocious up close.

Friend 1: Dude that girl across the way is fine as hell. I'm going to go walk over there and spit my game.
Friend 2: Don't do it dude. That girl is fugly!
Friend 1: Holy shit. She had a girlstache.
Friend 2: I told you. You got that Far Away Syndrome (FAS).
