The word used to describe the action of snifing and licking, comonly actioned by a dog sniffing something it finds appetizing.

'I fell asleep on a plate of meat, my ear was right in it; when I woke up, my dog was snicking at my ear'

'That guys fart was so meaty, the dog was snicking the sofa where he was sat after he left'
