Bass Acquisition Syndrome; originally Guitar Acquisition Syndrome (See "GAS"). GAS was a need for guitarists to constantly acquire more and more guitars, often despite quality; this has now evolved, causing a strain to effect bassists.

"That dudes got fucking B.A.S., he's got 6 shitty bass's sitting in his garage, and only the one he actually plays!"
