Often practised on sites like LiveJournal, e-where posters attempt to use crypticism to avoid starting drama. Unfortunately, when people try to interpret the crypticism drama often ensues anyway.
The best crypticism is incomprehensible to anyone not already in the know, but makes things quite clear to its intended audience.
It would be easier to keep track of what's going on in Timmy's life if his posts weren't so full of crypticism.

Geekenfreude is the feeling you get when your friend is jumping up and down with excitement over a perceived reference to Harry Potter in their favourite band's new album.
