Palestinian

Originates from the HEBREW word P’lishtim, which the ancient Egyptians adopted for the people who often docked in Gaza, and later the ancient Greeks adopted to refer to the region.

The word P’lishtim comes from the root “Paleshet” — the verb “Liflosh” which means “to invade”.

Therefore, much like robber (noun) “I robbed (verb) the store”, we can say: Liflosh verb for to invade, I am a Palestinian (noun), meaning invader.
