Steamboat

Verb: steamboat; 3rd person present: steamboats; past tense: steamboated; gerund or past participle: steamboating

Coined by a certain group of people who make sprite artwork on a gaming software called BYOND, the act of steamboating refers to the complete desaturation of photography and digital images, resulting in a grayscale version of the original image. The term's origin derives from the style of black and white animated films of the 1920s, most notably, Walt Disney's 'Steamboat Willy', a 1928 animated short film that inspired the usage of the word, 'Steamboating'"

Person A: Can you help me steamboat these images for a 1920s-era themed web page?
Person B: Sure.
