Often used by residents of tourist areas in Ontario Canada to refer to city people from the GTA who come to their towns and have zero regard for the residents, nature and life in the town.

Barrie resident: Damn, what’s with all the garbage on the beach?

Wasaga Beach resident: Dude it was a weekend in Wasaga, the citiots were here...

or

Wasaga Beach resident: Shit did you see that citiot flying down Mosley doing 140?

Wasaga Beach resident 2: Nah that wasn’t a citiot, that was a Collingwood kid.

Kid: Mom!! What’s all that noise it’s 2 am i’m trying to sleep!
