Holy Hoe

A member of a church congregation who engages in promiscuous or adulterous behavior outside the church or with other members of the congregation. The term can be applied equally to either a woman or a man. A slang/abbreviated term for Holy Whore. May also be seen or written as "Holy Ho."

Girl, I've got to find me a new church to attend. Word going around the congregation is that Brother Smith is creeping behind his wife's back with Sister Jones, while Sister Black from the choir is spending a lot of special time with Brother White and has been seen out with several of the deacons. I can't be around people who pretend and front themselves as upstanding members of the church in the light, but turn into a holy hoe in the dark.

I heard Carla went to court last week and got off with a light sentence of probation. With all the stuff she's into and all the trouble she's caused, if I were the judge, I would have car loaned her ass!

Duck and Cover

Original: Official 1951 United States civil defense film, Duck and Cover. Intended primarily for children, it portrays the act of ducking and covering by the character Bert the Turtle. The concept of "duck and cover" is a method of personal protection against the effects of a nuclear explosion whereby persons near the would-be affected area would drop to the ground in a prone position or seek shelter and protection under such objects as desks or other pieces of furniture, or in structures such as buildings or fallout shelters.

Slang: To be evasive or deceptive in one's behavior.

As the police continued to question the suspect about the events leading up to the crime, it was clear he knew more than he was telling. He immediately went duck and cover and refused to cooperate.
