Fandid is a clone of the mobile app Candid, which allowed users to post anonymously, unless they "tagged" their posts. It was created by Kresteks after Candid shut down when the parent company was bought.
This version of the app has had significant problems since release as, due to the smaller user base, there is a much lower amount of content per day compared to the original app.
Fandid was also removed from the Google Play Store because of the amount of paedophiles that use the app for the anonymity.
However, the app lost a large amount of its userbase when the servers went down for over a week in early 2019.
Now, Fandid is often filled with memes and pornography, but has an extensive background of known users which can make it difficult for a new user to get into the community.
After Candid was shut down, Kresteks created Fandid.
