Operations Review
Bull shit provided to a group of supervisors that wonât buy what you are telling them anyway because they have already made management decisions without your input.
In an Operations Review one example may be sales is down due to a bad economy. The supervisors may say our economy sucks because you are not selling enough of our product to people who canât afford it, donât want it, and may not need it. The game of business goes on.
Commitment: Ones mental fixation on accomplishing a task or a goal. My level of commitment is only limited by my vision of the income produced by the outcome. If the process is too difficult the outcome may be sufficiently larger than the potential income and therefore my commitment may suck.
The project you gave me will take two days so my commitment to this project sucks.

Budget: Your bosses reason to say no to any purchase you want or need to make.
Sorry we donât have enough money in the budget to buy you the boat you requisitioned. However we are going to reforecast so that you can purchase a rubber boat. Oh boy, safe sailing.

Telephone Conference: Now here is a good one. An outstanding method to tie up several people to listen to a message on the telephone that could be relayed via an email. However it does provide a good way to entertain yourself with the participants that donât mute their phone and talk about the speaker.
Clear your schedule to participate in this worthless telephone conference.
