Being a parent. (Children optional.) (I mean, seriously, if it were about children the term would mention children.) (But it's "parenting," which means it's all about me, the parent, and the child, if any, is merely an accessory, like my handbag or my iPhone.) (Only more expensive.)

My mother and father all but killed themselves raising my brothers and sisters and me. I'm so glad my generation invented parenting instead.

Establican

A member of the Establishment wing of the Republican Party -- fiscally irresponsible and unsympathetic to the views of grass-roots Republicans, but not an aisle-jumping RINO like Jim Jeffords or Arlen Specter.

It's no wonder John McCain lost in 2008, he pretends to be a maverick but he's really just another Establican.

(verb) The act of putting an idea, proposal or document through examination by a bureaucracy or bureaucratically minded administrator.

"I had a great idea but I don't know what it'll look like once management gets done bureaucrapping all over it."

Big Fruit Salad

San Francisco (after "The Big Apple" for New York).

Back in the early 1960s the Giants left the Big Apple for the Big Fruit Salad, and they haven't been the same since.

NJNBHN

An internet acronym signifying "Not just no but hell no." Used when rejecting a proposition that is beyond merely unacceptable.

"You want me to hire people who can't do the job, pay them a higher wage than they're worth, give them benefits even I don't get and pay more in taxes for the privilege? NJNBHN."

Establicrat

The Democrat counterpart of an Establican.

I may not bother voting this November. I'd have to choose between an Establican and an Establicrat.

malpresidency

A presidency, the most obvious characteristic of which is maladministration.

I haven't seen things this bad since the Carter Malpresidency.
