Spook(s), or Spooky as an adjective, is a derogatory term in the K-pop world universe (in naegayougaegaâs stories) that refers to ghosts of non living people. Characters such as Kim Jonghyun, Lee Jinri (Sulli) and Goo Hara are those who are prone to get hit with this slur.
Yunho (TVXQ) was the first character to have said this word and it has been said that the word ia the ghost equivalent to the n word despite the other words that could be used to insult them.
yunho - where is that annoying spook?
jaejoong - that spooky ghost-
key - oh him? don't call him that. he's a beautiful ghost.
yunho - no, he's a spook.
jaejoong - AYO SPOOK!
jonghyun - *gasps, starts crying* w-why would you say that-
yunho and jaejoong - *laughs at jonghyun*

Usually a non shawol who has a spiritual connection with Kim Jonghyun.
âShe refers to herself as an Ethereal Shawol. She isnât really a Shawol, yet sheâs very close to Kim Jonghyun since the moon is always out every night, ready to listen to anyone that wants to speak to him.â

#milkforjonghyun is a annual tradition created by a Tumblr user by the name of @taeminscoconuthead where Shawols would drink milk at Jonghyunâs passing anniversary (18th of December) to âcommemorate him providing his breast milk for 9 years.â (2008-2017) This was originally intended as a humorous tribute, but it has turned into a sort of protest against people who has harassed others for simply having a coping mechanism that is different from what is traditionally accepted into society or even just seemingly normal coping strategies such as talking about him, roleplaying him in situations, cosplaying his outfits, dark humour, etc.

#ourdeathisnotyourproperty or the singular version #mydeathisnotyourproperty is a hashtag used to speak out against harassment towards Shawols over the passing of SHINeeâs Kim Jonghyun. It has started by a user on Tumblr named taeminscoconuthead when he realised that many of his followers share a very similar experience of a random user messaging or sending to their inbox speaking about how they were disrespecting a âdead manâ which obviously refers to Jonghyun. Some people had also experienced this type of behaviour in real life with some users explaining that they heard this at a workplace, school and even a family member. This shameless act could go back around the time the singerâs death has been announced back in December 2017 or January 2018.
Users would apply this hashtag to their posts to speak out about their personal experiences about getting harassed. This is so if anyone else sees it and has been through it, they would know that they were not alone. If they havenât, then it would be an eye opener for them to take care of themselves and look out for anyone who may go through it.
I canât believe people needed to be told that #ourdeathisnotyourproperty just so they could put themselves in their place. The passing of Jonghyun is OUR death, not theirs. Because they never got to experience losing him first handed as a Shawol, they donât have the rights to tell us how we should cope with his passing.
The meaning of Jjongphobic from âMy Jjong is Jjongphobicâ pretty much means Jonghyun doesnât act like himself.
This is a spin-off series from the existing âGhost Timesâ from the SM Nation Short Stories where the premise of the chapters consists in two characters (Kim Jonghyun and Lee Jinri) acting like Cosmo and Wanda from Fairly OddParents with Jonghyun being Cosmo and Wanda being Wanda â basically Sulli putting up with Jonghyunâs bullshit. In this new series, the roles has been swapped. This means that now Sulli acts like Cosmo and Jonghyun acts like Wanda â so Jonghyun has to put up with Sulli bullshit.
Since he doesnât act like this during the âGhost Timesâ series, he doesnât act like himself, hence the title.
âMy Jjong is Jjongphobic!â (naegayougaega â Wattpad)
A metaphoric word involving SHINeeâs Kim Jonghyun that describes death or suicide depending on the context. The point of this word is supposed to narrate seeing the late singer in the afterlife, which could either be in heaven or in an alternate world depending on what they believe in. It could also be called âJonghyunâs fansignâ, âJonghyunâs meet and greetâ or even âJonghyunâs VIP station.â
This word has been used in a now deleted post with the poem âI want to go to a Jonghyunâs concertâ by a user on Tumblr (@nekoneck) which describes suicide in a series of metaphors. Despise its dark history, it is now used to describe suicide, typically in sarcasm or it could be used as a replacement of âdiedâ just like how we would say âpassed awayâ or âwent up to heaven.â This would make more sense if this is describing a Shawol (a SHINee fan) that passed away, but it could be used for anyone since the feeling of a K-pop idol having a concert in their afterlife may seem pleasant to some.
Suicidal: âI feel like I should go to Jonghyunâs concert so everyone can be happy.â
Sarcasm (positive): âThis is so hilarious, Iâm gonna go to Jonghyunâs concert!â
Sarcasm (negative): âEverything that is happening in this world makes me want to go to Jonghyunâs concert.â
Sarcasm (to someone else): âI swear to god Iâm gonna take you to Jonghyunâs concert if you donât shut the fuck up!â
Someone passed away: âIâm sorry to say this⦠but Stephanie has went to Jonghyunâs concert last night. I hope she has a lot of fun up there with him.â
