1) Cockney rhyming slang for the Flying Squad, an elite fast response dectective branch of London's Metropolitan police. Often contracte to The Sweeny.

2) A mythical and murderous London barber who killed his customers and sold the bodies to a near by pie shop.

"WE've been told to touch nothing until Sweeny Todd get's here."

snake bite

A lethal brew drunk in the UK combine lager and cider / scrumpy in equal amounts. Although it is not illegal to sell the drink most UK pubs will either refuse to serve the concoction, or only sell it to people who have proven their ability to handle it. For hardcore drinkers only.

Last night I had 7 pints of snake bite, today I can't feel my legs.

Basically a snake bite (lager / cider split) with a vodka or double vodka top. Not the for the weak or the part time drinker.

I had 4 pints of shark bite last night and I can't feel my body at all.

Rock band former by Phillip Lynott when Thin Lizzy split up. Toured Europe continuously but never recorded anything due to Lynotts untimely death.

Grand Slam bootlegs are very sought after by collectors.
