The loss of bowel and bladder control out of fear of impending danger. Many small animals nugent themselves when caught by a predator as an escape mechanism. The evolutionary benefit of nugenting is that it is thought that prey animals are less appealing when covered with their own fecal matter and urine and will be dropped or otherwise left alone.
