Libertarians

CONTRARY TO POPULAR STEREOTYPE, we are NOT a bunch of pot smoking anti government conservatives.

Libertarians believe that state regulation should be minimal. We believe in reforming or abolishing welfare, lowering taxes, disbanding unions, legalizing marijuana, legalizing same sex marriage, etc.

Libertarians are economically (fiscally) conservative, believing in minimal government regulation and a free market economy. However, we are socially liberal, being tolerant of social groups of all types.

Libertarians also believe that citizens should not be punished for harmless crimes, such as not wearing a seatbelt, possessing drugs, driving without license plates, and tax fraud.

Libertarians are a right wing group that believes in very high levels of freedom and low government dependence and regulation. So stop stereotyping us and making us all look like anarchist potheads.

Derek Chauvin

The man charged with second and third degree murder and second degree manslaughter in the death of George Floyd. He was arrested on May 29, 2020, a week after George Floyd's death. He spent 4 months locked up in prison until he was released in early October 2020 after posting bond. He is set to stand trial next year. Said trial will likely be the source of riots and violence no matter the outcome. In August of 2020, he was also charged with several unrelated tax felonies. He has a history of excessive force incidents. We'll just have to see what the jury says

Derek Chauvin is charged with murder and manslaughter for the death of George Floyd, and could face 40 years in prison if convicted. He's also charged with several unrelated tax felonies. Despite all this, he walks free (for now at least).

Jared Fogle

Guy who became famous as Subway's spokesman, he famously lost a lot of weight by eating healthy at Subway. In 2007, he was accused of several sexual crimes, for which he was indicted for and arrested for in July of 2015. He was released on bail, but faced a possible life sentence if convicted. In August 2015, he pleaded guilty to lesser offenses in exchange for no more than 12 years in prison. On November 19, 2015, Fogle was formally sentenced. The media set up outside his house, and he was seen walking from outside his house into a car. He was later seen that day entering a federal courthouse. At the sentencing, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison, slightly over the promised maximum of 12, but still better than the possible life sentence. After the sentencing, Fogle was to report to federal prison, and in a huge twist of irony, that night, his last day as a free man for 15 years, he ate at Subway. I guess he really does love Subway, despite tarnishing their reputation. The next day, in the early morning hours, Fogle reported to federal prison for his booking, and has resided there ever since. He'll be released in 2029. He's been assaulted several times in prison.

Jared Fogle loved foot longs, but not quite the type you're thinking of.

Polynesians

People that make me question why the hell we celebrate European explorers

They made REAL discoveries, across a MASSIVE ocean, hundreds if not thousands of years before the Europeans, with far fewer resources, and, most importantly, WITHOUT MASSACRING INDIGENOUS POPULATIONS (none existed before them there)

Polynesians are the real discovering, Christopher Columbus and Magelan my ASS!

2010's

Wise-ass definition: The timeframe between January 1, 2010, and December 31, 2019.

Generation definition: The 2010's, at least to me, in 2009. It was a generation marked by the rise of video games, widely used technology, and wifi just about everywhere. The cultural generation of the 2010's began around there too. The 2010's were a generation marked by pop music, and video games such as PVZ, COD, Minecraft, and Fortnite. The generation came to a rather abrupt end on/around March 13, 2020, when the world went into a state of disarray due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The quarantine and separation of everyone inevitably brought an end to 2010's culture, which had to go this year or in the near future.

However, I don't think we've quite entered the 2020's generation just yet. I think we'll look back and see 2020 as a sort of shitty limboland between the 2010's and the 2020's. I don't anticipate 2020's culture will begin until early or mid 2021.

With that said, to everyone reading this, I know that 2020 is a very, very shitty year, it is for almost everyone on the planet (barring some very tiny nations lucky enough to escape the pandemic and other events), but all this madness will eventually end, and we, the young generation, will begin paving the road for the 2020's generation, and only time will show what this generation has to offer.

The 2010's were quite an interesting generation, and their demise was brought on fairly quickly before any of us could even predict it.

Broke

When you have inadequate or no money. Contrary to what schools (and probably your parents) tell you, being broke is NOT equal to a miserable life. In fact, broke people are on average happier than rich old stressed out jackasses who drown in their own wealth. Yes, being broke isn't an easy life, but it's a happy one if you do it right.

I know many people who are totally broke and still are as happy as can be.

Death

Something that, because we know it's inevitable, we learn to develop a constructive relationship with it. Death is not something we like, and we do all we can to avoid it as long as possible, yet it's something that awaits every single one of us. Hence why we accept it. Death is inevitable. It can be delayed by 10-20 years with a healthy lifestyle (almost any person who lives an above average healthy life can live well into their 90's without trouble) but it can not be avoided entirely. It awaits us whether we like it or not. And it's terrifyingly close. If you think about it, the 80 years that you're alive aren't that long. If you go back to the middle ages, a period of 80 years would literally take up like 1/4 of a page of a history book. Does 1 week feel like a short time? Well good, because you're now down to 4,999. 5000 weeks is how long we live. That's not that many. If you think about it, death is terrifyingly close to even the youngest and healthiest of us. Yet we don't fear it and we ignore it for the first three quarters of our life or more. I don't fear death because I believe in eternal life, and I believe that the 5,000 weeks or less I live is nothing compared to eternal life.

Death is not a great thing yet we all somehow manage to create a positive relationship with it.
