When you’re in a group chat with more than 10 heads and someone tries to change the topic while in the middle of a discussion. Going off on a tangent, out of nowhere, talking about something completely unrelated to the topic at hand.

Group member: “Guys, I just saw a squirrel”
Group: “Bro, why’re you Laureling”

“Dude, my professor totally laurel’ed today”

“Stacey laurel’d me after we smashed last night and asked me what we were”
