Sharks in the water

Originally an United States Naval phrase used by the enlisted personnel to alert other subordinate sailors that an officer is on deck. Could also be used to make others aware of the presence of an authority figure i.e cops, a principle, or even your mom.

Younger Brother: *Forgets to do the dishes*

Older Brother: *Hears mom’s car pull in the driveway* “Bro clean this mess up!!! SHARKS IN THE WATER!!!

Snake Tamer

noun
A term used in some a corporate settings to describe a person who is categorized by their competence to harness the abilities of snakes on the team in order to accomplish the mission assigned to the group. Snake tamers often exhibit the following qualities:
1.) Patience
2.) Thoughtfulness

3.) Ownership of their responsibilities

4.) Reliability
5.) Slow to anger
A Snake tamer’s approach to snakes is different than that of most people. Understanding that snakelike individuals are venomous, passive aggressive, and potentially backstabbing, the tamer must gain the snake’s trust first before harnessing their abilities for the whole corporate team. This is process is figuratively known as “harvesting the anti-venom”. At first it may seem like a manipulative move from the tamer, however, they are totally open about what they are trying to do and they will even openly admit it to the snake because they want everyone to work together to have success thus limiting the “backbiting” in the office.

“Dude did you see what our new project manner did?! He got Mark to be honest with him! I overheard the whole conversation in his office. The guy is such a snake tamer.”

W.W.O.O.F

(noun) acronym for World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms. An web-based platform that seeks to connect organic farmers and people looking to travel and have a work trade experience. This sometimes, but not always, takes the form of human trafficking and modern day serfdom (modified slavery). Young people oftentimes are tricked into this being a great opportunity to travel the world but then once they are onsite they quickly realize that the endeavor they signed up for is not at all what it was advertised as. Working conditions can range drastically, and provisions made by the host can be downright uninhabitable. Hosts are not required to pay their Woofers, and thus we have modern day slavery.

Person 1: “Hey I thought you were going to be gone for 6 months in your W.W.O.O.F program in Hawai’i! What happened?”

Person 2: “My host only showed up twice a week. I was expected to live in a shack with centipedes and spiders, and I cut sugarcane in the sun from 9 until 6 in the evening. I worked for free for 1 month because that was in their contract that I had signed before coming over. Outrageous!”

Cameron Hanes

An accomplished American bowhunter of the West who is a badass and a beast at what he does. He is Under Armour's longest sponsored athlete, and runs ultra marathons. He also hunts all sorts of animals and uses his skills in running in order to prepare him for the time he spends in the outdoors. Despite being a busy man, he also is a family man. He can be described as a down-to-earth person and he has a lot of humble-strength. Although he has been very successful, he does not let it get to his head. He is a hard worker and is always looking for ways to improve himself. He is well known for his inspirational quotes such as "Keep Hammering" and "Nobody Cares Work Harder". While people bash him on social media and throw shade on him for what he does as a hunter, he does not stoop to their level and he doesn't care what they have to say. He focuses on his goals and being a good person. If you ever get the chance to meet this man, I assure you that you won't be disappointed.

Nick: "Aye whose that guy who passed us on the trail today?"
Ben: "Bro! That was Cameron Hanes! I bet you he's preparing for an elk hunt soon!"
