Bureau of Morality

A fictional organization from the alternate reality game to the Nine Inch Nails Album Year Zero. The purpose of the Bureau is to keep citizens in line and make sure they aren't doing anything they consider "un-american" such as expressing dissapointment with the government. Extreme punishments are handed down to people who do break their laws and use their voice.

Our schoolboard's really become the Bureau of Morality, it sucks!

Overdefense

Term applying to combat games. When your computer-cotrolled opponent is almost impossible to hurt because they are using defense (or any method to avoid harm) at least 93% of the time. Almost certain to turn a terrific victory into a frustrating (and-if other people are present-humiliating) defeat.

I had a great run in Mortal Kombat until Johnny Cage started using overdefense and cost me everything.

Hiatus

A break from something for a certain amount of time. Most notably used by musical groups who break up with the intention of not staying broken up (even if they don't know how long they'll be that way).

List of notable bands on Hiatus at the time this definition was written:
Foo Fighters
Sonic Youth
Disturbed
Fall Out Boy
Fugazi

I saw the Foo Fighters at their last show before going on Hiatus.

Car that runs on water

Common topic of discussion for Steven Hyde (Danny Masterson) on "That 70's Show" while in the circle smoking pot.

Basically what he's talking about is a car where you put water in the gas tank instead of gas. The demand for water would be so high that everyone would buy all the water, leaving us with nothing to drink except beer-and the government hides the car from the public because they know that beer will set us free.

So their's this car that runs on water.....

Grand Unification

The debut studio album from Fightstar. The album is a concept album largely based upon the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion, as well as personal experiences of the band's members. Notable tracks from the album include "Grand Unification Pt. 1" and "Pt. 2" and "Hazy Eyes".

Greg puts Grand Unification by Fightstar as his all-time favorite album.

Wax Trax

A Chicago based record label formed in 1978, famous for signing early Industrial music acts including, but not limited to Ministry, KMFDM, and My life with the thrill kill kult. Very little remains of the original label after it went Bankrupt in 1992 and was purchased by TVT records, although a store with connections to the original Chicago label still operates in Denver.

Mark is really fond of old Wax Trax Industrial music.

National Organization for Marriage

A bullshit organization who claims to be working to protect the sanctity of marriage but in reality all they do is work to make sure LGBT people are denied all possible rights and continue to be treated as second-class citizens, and go after any and all groups/individuals/companies who voice support for gay rights/marriage to try and convert them to their bullshit beliefs.

The National Organization for Marriage should really rename themselves the National Organization for Fascism, because really that's what they're trying to accomplish.
