malignorant

I see this also as a portmaneau word consisting of malign and ignorant e,g, to use misinformation to denigrate someone or to ridicule something or someone based on a total disregard for the truth or facts. It can also imply malicious misuse or manipulation of the truth for personal gain.

Rick Perry's environmental advisers were unequivocably malignorant in their altered use of the scientists' presentation on climate change.

benefiscience

noun: The noble, honest and determined search for knowledge and truth that can benefit all mankind especially where that search involves the application of scientific methods. It is the complete opposite of malignorance.
adj: benefiscient

A person who questions all 'facts' and remains open to all possibilities as they search for knowledge through the application of acceptable scientific methods and with the ultimate goal of enlightening mankind and improving the quality of life through their discoveries can be said to be practicing benefiscience. His contributions to the world are truly benefiscient.
