A made up word that was created to try to keep women in a particular mental place -- because men are afraid of women's sexual liberation.

The term 'slut' is a non-physical way to keep women abiding by rules men set. A man can play the game of cat-and-mouse, where the woman is obviously the target. However, if a woman chooses to have sex with a man, she is chastised for it. Her needs and desires are neither justified nor relevant. Often, a man will justify rape by the notion that a woman 'was a slut'. See scum of the earth.

Women are set up to believe that owning their own bodies is wrong. They are set up to believe that doing what they want, when they want - and to who they want - is wrong.

It is a double standard that sets women against each other.
