Early 2000s: from early modern english ewl or french ĆĀ©wl. Coined by philosopher, Pallavi Ram Jamelia Shrestha. In late November, whilst exploring the subways and the concrete jungle of Singapura, Pallavi was exploring with her significant other and they came across a sign, it looked foreign to both of them. It was then and there that ewl was created. Through the curiosity of two individuals that had brains of 5 year olds.
