An alcoholic beverage while hungover. Supposed to cure or ease the sick, sleepy feeling after an alcoholic drinking session. Very similar to 'hair of the dog'.

Pronounced "live-er-ner".

Clough: I feel rough from last night. Might go the local for a livener.

Reaching an intoxicated stage from mixes of spirits and lagers at pre-drinks.

Will - "Mate, you making it to town?"
Charlie - "Dunno lad, those sourz and tetley's got me ruddied"
