Ala

An everyday Malay word for 'Awww..'. A whining word. Often spoken with long 'aaaa' at the back (Alaaaaa).

Mak - Bedah, help with these laundries, they're too heavy!
Bedah - Alaa.. I'm too lazy for those things, just let me sleep, okay?
Mak - When you're a mom, you'll surely understand me.

diorang

literally means 'they' or 'them'. used by Malays. A fusion of malay word 'dia' (he/she/it) and 'orang' (person) that formed the word 'diaorang' and later became a much shorter and easier-to-say form of 'diorang'

Jai - Why are you alone?
Budak - Well, I just don't know what to do.
Jai - Go play with those kids outside, they are friendly.
Budak - They don't like me.
Jai - Alaa, diorang can be persuaded though, no worries.
