a word to describe a person when they’re being dumb.

can also be used to replace words in an insulting manner.

person 1: “pass me that apple”
person 2: “get it yourself you nert”

example 2:
person 1: “you look so ugly in this photo”
person 2: “oh nert off you nerter”
