A monthly event for girls in which they wash all of their cooties out by bleeding through their vaginas.

Friend: Why is Jill so cranky?
Me: She's on her period.
Friend: Oh so she is washing all the adorable little girl out of her.
Me: Yeah, thats what cooties are.
