When you've been drinking a little too much and alternate between being blacked out and drunk but able to remember things. Similar to "browning out" or "greying out," but better and more accurate.

"Dude, I totally barcoded last night. I don't remember how I got to the bar, but I remember dancing on the table there."
"Yeah I could totally tell you were barcoding"
