1. an expression used to express surprise, excitement, or anger.
2. a way of speaking, sharply, quickly, and usually annoyed.
3. breaking with a loud sound similar to cracking.

DTAE

In the art community (i.e. DeviantArt, Scratch, Toyhou.se, etc.), a DTA is a Draw-to-Adopt event, and a DTAE is a DTA entry.

To enter a DTA, you have to draw a character. The creator of the DTA eventually judges each entry and whichever drawing they consider the "best" wins the character and all the other entries as extra art for the character they now own.

"Are you entering her DTA?"

"Yes, I'm working on my DTAE as we speak! I hope my art is enough to win..."
