To glide hands over useless controls while an MP3 (usually of dance music) is playing, and pretending to pinch certain knobs in effort to look talented, skilled, and productive. This activity is often accompanied by rabid hopping and jolting "inside the booth" or "behind the decks," and rarely by wearing DJ headphones.

Noun.

Often an entitled, snotty, drug-addicted prima donna who engages in the verb described above.

"Whoa! Is that dude air-guitaring? No man, he's the DJ!"
