a way of taking A LOT of acid. the 'cid is dissolved into a greasy substance at high concentration, and stored in a lip balm container. to dose, stick your thumb in, smear out enough to coat it, and lick it off. depending on the quality of the stuff and how much you scoop out, it seems to be the equivalent of anywhere from 5 to 20 blotter hits.

the first time you do acid, don't do a thumb print. you should work up to that dose in a few sessions with experienced friends.

indie

a type of rock music, which is defined by the "independent" labels its published by. listening to indie music is often a badge of membership in certain hipster social circles. indie rock bands often evade commercial success (intentionally or not), but the instant they become popular with anyone not in the "in crowd", or they get air play on commercial radio, their old fan bases dissolve, accusing the bands of "selling out".

Rad

an outdated slang term meaning "good". possibly still current on the west coast, land of scariness.

gel tab

a form of acid dose formed by mixing liquid acid with gelatin. also known as window pane acid. gel tabs have a longer shelf life than other acid doses, and they can be very powerful. they often cost a dollar more per hit than blotter acid because of these positive traits.
