Dried leaves of the Salvia Divinorum plant. Psychonauts either smoke or ingest the leaves, which produces an intense psychedelic experience. I though Salvia was a crock, and bought some out of curiosity. I ended up thinking that the Simpsons were in on my experience, and a few seconds later - had no idea who I was, or that I even had a body - it was like I became an entity of some kind. During the experience I had no idea that it was the result of smoking salvia. You literally go to a different place, and have no idea that your'e on a temporary trip. It's pretty scary, and I dont ever want to do it again.
