shipwreckship

The station pertaining to a particular shipwreck (broken heart), or set of shipwrecks (broken hearts) which can occur during a sea calamity.

Picture a fine, vast, ancient sailing vessel made of wood, brass, and quartz. Dashed on the rocks. Now imagine the vessel was a human heart.

As in drunkenship, only pertaining to matters of the heart, rather than the drink.

Can indicate the need to fill a void and lead to; emptiness, loneliness, chronic excessive romantic attachment.

I've been on this shipwreckship for years, my marriage ended badly.

sticks and stones

More than ever, the adage "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" is proven an ironic one. In fact words are often much more painful than any physical damage could cause. It is reminiscent of Palestinians throwing rocks at tanks in Gaza, and relates to the adage "the pen is mightier than the sword".

Sticks and stones don't hurt much. Please don't call me names Felicia.
