The annoying edge, or ‘flaf’, of a sticky label when trying to peel it off. Can be either the starting point which immediately and uselessly tears or the leftover smear once the label has been finally scraped away

worried six

or Worried 6 (#worried6). State of such overwhelm or anxiety that an event takes a sixfold-size of significance or paralysis. Much more serious than common or garden worries

also can be used in American Football in high-leverage moments when your opponent is sooo likely to score or your QB is about to throw pick-six

when the other team almost scored i was worried six

mate i was like worried six before we had to go on stage

I %#€% knew he’d throw an interception, I was worried 6 !!!

Nice and Fork

Kid-friendly version of ‘knife and fork’ - used in households where sharp blades are discouraged; thus keeping the word Knife out of the lexicon. For as long as possible anyway.

Cutlery typically comprises a fork and a spoon only; hence known as Nice and Fork

OK kids - get your nice and forks from the tray then come and sit on the picnic blanket

Parent - please set the table with the Nice and Fork

Child - ugh

play in the v

originally a cricketing term where the batter would show strong fundamentals and admirable restraint to hit down the ground (usually along the carpet), eschewing any agricultural cross-batted swipes

v - refers to the batting pitch map where such sensible shots would form a V shape over the course of an innings

note - also can apply to bedroom activities

Good luck on the date with Jess… Take time to get your eye in and just play in the v

Q - How’d you go in the interview
A - Yeah good, I kept my shots along the ground and played in the v
