scrape for powder

The act of taking something like a knife, a razor, or a credit card to the inside of a bowl and scraping around for crushed remnants of pills to snort. Typically done with morphine or oxycodone.

His stash was confiscated so he's had to scrape for powder for the past week.

When you're on a cruise ship and you either step out onto the balcony or walk in the hallways of the state rooms and you get sucker punched with the smell of pungent weed.

We were walking around the cruise this morning, and we got a good whiff of sea skunk.
